With two beds (one twin and 1 double) and a family bathroom on the first floor and an ensuite twin on the 1st floor, this cottage can sleep 6 people in comfort. The rest of the accommodation is made up of an open plan living space with a fitted kitchen, dining room and a sitting room with a woodburner and doors to the sun lounge. Outside the cottage is private parking for 1 car, additional off road parking and an enclosed walled garden with a patio, lawn and outdoor furniture. Within walkable distance of all the amenities of craven arms, one church farm barn is a wonderful holiday cottage for anyone wishing to discover the delights of shropshire. Region: a e houseman once wrote that shropshire was “the quietest place under the sun” and today the county remains something of a rural idyll, recognised as 1 of the least crowded and most quiet regions in england. Town: the village of halford boasts an ancient church and stands close to the river onny, which divides the village from the small market town of craven arms, a twelve minute walk away. This is an ideal base, with fine walks from the village to lovely stokesay castle, 1 of england's finest fortified manors, or the shropshire hill discovery centre, and just a easy drive to wenlock edge. Church stretton, known as little switzerland, is just a few miles away and nestles between the long mynd and caradoc hills, renowned for their scenic walks and excellent golf course. Craven arms has some charming and historic houses, including a round house, thought to be a recognisable rest house for pilgrims travelling between wigmore and shrewsbury abbeys. The historic towns of bishops castle, ludlow and shrewsbury are a quick drive, and offer magnificent castles, riverside walks, wonderful shops, pubs, restaurants and exciting theatres and a variety of festivals.
