The cottage is situated in a delightful south facing mews close to ludford bridge, with beautiful views towards whitcliffe common and horseshoe weir. This lovely property has been beautifully updated to provide comfortable accommodation of a superb standard which successfully combines original character features including oak floors and exposed beams with state of the art conveniences. The cottage offers two beds; fitted kitchen with dining room, and a sitting area, to provide a wonderful romantic retreat at any time of year. Amenities: full central gas heat with additional heating from cast iron log-effect gas stove in sitting area. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, washer / dryer, dishwasher, 32" plasma television with sky package, dvd, bose 'wave' music system inc. Ipod dock, wifi internet access. All fuel and power inc. In rent. Bed linen and towels inc. In rent. Free car parking permit for car park approximately six mins walk away. Alternatively, on-onstreet parking for up to three hours for £2, free parking between 6pm - 8am. Rustic bench by front door for guests’ use. Sorry no pets and no smoking. Shop two mins walk, pub/restaurant one minimum walk. Note: owner may be flexible on changeover day, please contact if an alternative is required. Region: a e houseman once wrote that shropshire was “the quietest place under the sun” and today the county remains something of a rural idyll, recognised as 1 of the least crowded and most quiet regions in england. Town: ludlow is a historic market town located on the river teme, nestling amidst the stunning welsh marches countryside. The town is home to almost 500 listed buildings, and its fascinating original medieval street pattern provides an authentic backdrop for the town's street markets which showcase the local produce, local crafts, and books filling the stalls. Ludlow is known for the quality of its shopping, and the town has many antique and art and craft shops, a number of michelin-starred restaurants, and a selection of inviting pubs, inns and tea shops. The 900yr old castle is home to many intriguing instances of architecture, and the linney riverside park below offers boats for hire, a play-area, and a putting green. Church stretton, hereford and shrewsbury are all within easy reach, as are many visitor attractions including the ten museums of ironbridge gorge; berrington hall; the severn valley railway, and cardingmill valley.
