The flat is an ideal base from which to explore the east neuk of fife, including st andrews, only a twenty minute drive away. Comfortable and state of the art, the apartment sleeps up to 6 people and is ideal for couples, golfers or family holidays. Wireless broadband available. Hall - with cupboard space for storage of golf clubs etc. Living room - a spacious and bright room with 2 sofas (one which doubles up as a sofabed) 32in lcd television with freeview and dvd., hi-fi. Oak dining table for up to 6 people. Games and books provided along with welcome tray for guests. A selection of limited edition prints by local artists. Glazed french doors lead into the kitchen. Kitchen - well equipped kitchen, complete with microwave, dishwasher, fridge, gas hob and electric oven, cloths washer and small table. Master bedroom - a spacious double bedroom with king sized bed, fitted wardrobes. Twin bedroom - twin room with 2 full sized single beds, fitted wardrobes. anstruther or anster is the largest and busiest of the ‘east of neuk’ coastal towns. It was, until 50yrs ago, a busy fishing village, but the demise of the north sea herring shoals around this time saw fishing disappear. The history of fishing, from the earliest times to the present day, can be remembered by a visit to the scottish fisheries museum. Anstruther is now a bustling town with a variety of shops, pubs and excellent restaurants, mainly specialising in seafood. Anstruther is an ideal stepping off point for sea angling trips, or visiting the isle of may nature reserve on the ‘may princess’.
