There is also a shower room, and downstairs, a kitchen with dedicated dining area room and a sitting area with woodburner. Outside is access to a shared court yard garden with furniture, and an off road parking space. With its pretty features, and the town close by, cherry tree cottage is a great base to escape to. Town: the historic market town of pickering has many amenities including traditional shops, tea rooms, pubs and restaurants. The town is often referred to as the gateway to the breathtaking north york moors national park. Attractions that are well worth visiting are the north york moors stream railway, pickering castle and the beck isle museum, which displays black and white photographs of rural life. The area is a haven for walkers with hills, valleys and rivers to explore, plus wildlife enthusiasts will enjoy the wildlife in the north york moors. Also further afield are the historic city of york and the heritage coast. Pickering is a perfect base to explore the north york moors and beyond.

Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off season breaks (osb) are available at many properties in parts of the "low" and "mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a three night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted winter short break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Osbs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "last minute breaks" (lmb) are available at most properties throughout the "low", "mid", "high", "peak", "xmas" and "new year" periods. The price for a three night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted winter short break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Lmbs can be booked within 1 week of the start date of the holiday.
