This all ground level cottage sleeps 6 people and has three beds, consisting of one double and 2 twins, as well as a family bathroom. The cottage also has a kitchen with dedicated dining area area and a sitting area with open fire. To the outside of the cottage there is off road parking for 3 cars and a patio with garden furniture, surrounded by woodland. Keeper's cottage is a superb cottage, within a magnificent estate, close to many places of interest. Amenities: full oil central heating, additional heating from electric fire in sitting area. Electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer, flat screen tv, dvd. All fuel and power inc. In rent. Bed linen and towels inc. In rent. Cot and highchair. Off road parking for three cars. Patio with garden furniture, surrounded by woodland. Sorry, no smoking and no pets. Shop four miles. Pub 1.one miles. Note: entry to the property is via the deer park - large gates must be kept closed at all times to prevent deer escaping. Note: this property accepts short breaks all year round. Region: a e houseman once wrote that shropshire was “the quietest place under the sun” and today the county remains something of a rural idyll, recognised as one of the least crowded and most quiet regions in england. Town: loton park, the ancestral home to the leighton family, was mentioned in the domesday book and is close to both shreswbury and powis castle. The grade ii listed mansion within loton park is surrounded by gardens and has views of rolling farmland and is home to a brilliant deer park and the annual british hill climb championship. Bordering the estate is the small rural village of alberbury, and just 4 mis away is offa's dyke pathway. The tudor town of shreswbury is 9mis away and is popular due to the timber framed, black and white buildings, whilst the town has shops, cafes, bars, restaurants and pubs. Other places of interest nearby are attingham park and mansion, chirk castle, wroxeter roman city, museums at ironbridge and acton scott working farm, which featured on the 'victorian farm' television series. Loton park is an ideal base for exploring the fascinating county of shropshire.
