The cottage sleeps 8 people in three beds - two 1st floor king-size doubles and 1 twin - and on a double sofa bed in the snug. There are also two baths on the 1st floor - 1 with bath, separate double shower, basin and wc and 1 with bath, basin and wc. The ground level living accommodation comprises a fitted kitchen, sitting area with dedicated dining area area and woodburner, and a snug with double sofa bed. Outside there is off road parking for 3 cars and a patio with garden furniture, with a gas bbq available by arrangement with the owners. With the pub just next door, serving food, good walks in the countryside available close by and cardiff only 7mis away, derwen fawr makes a great base for a holiday in this part of south wales. Amenities: central gas heat with additional heating from woodburner in sitting area. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, cloths washer, tumble dryer, dishwasher, two x tvs (1 with freeview), two x dvds, cd/radio, games console, wifi, selection of books, games and dvds. Fuel, power and starter pack for woodburner inc. In rent. Bed linen and towels inc. In rent. Travel cot and highchair on request. Off road parking for three cars. Patio with garden furniture. Gas bbq available by arrangement with owners. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop one miles pub next door. Note: access to the pub next door is via a private gate at the front of this property, which is also used by the neighbouring holiday cottage and the owners. Region: famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. From snowdonia in north wales to the brecon beacons and the pembrokeshire coast in the south. Town: the small, rural village of michaelston-y-fedw is located on the border of cardiff city with a church and a pub serving food. Lovely scenic countryside surrounds the village, ideal for walks, cycling and fishing at the village trout farm. Cardiff is close by, home to a variety of pubs, bars and restaurants, great shopping, museums and a castle. The city also hosts many concerts and rugby and football matches.
