Dundrie cottage is situated in a peaceful mews and offers comfortable accommodation for four people. It has been tastefully decorated throughout and offers great views across the courtyards and the surrounding countryside. Although there is off-road parking for 1 car, the majority of the local amenities, such as pubs, shops and restaurants, are just a easy walk away. In addition, there are a number of walks and cycle-trails to be found nearby and a variety of attractions are within easy reach. Amenities: full central gas heat. Electric oven & hob, fridge, microwave, cloths washer, dishwasher, colour television, dvd, stereo/cd, internet access, ipod dock. Fuel & power inc. In rent. Bed linen & towels inc. In rent. Cot on request. Off road parking for one car. Sorry, no smoking and no pets. Shop & pub two mins walk. Note: £100 supplement charged for cheltenham festival week. Region: visitors to the cotswolds have long treasured memories of charming towns and villages built from the famous honey-coloured stone, it now boasts a thriving community of contemporary artists working from studios and shops throughout the area. Town: the charming village of broadway nestles beneath the worcestershire hills of the cotswolds. This quintessentially english village is lively and vibrant, with a superb range of unique shops, designer boutiques and restaurants, but is also steeped in history - with its origins dating back to roman times. In the 1600s it was a major stopping place for the stage coaches that travelled between worcester and london – with the world-renowned lygon arms remaining popular with travellers and visitors. In later years, it attracted artists and writers such as jm barrie, vaughan williams, edward elgar and american artists edwin austin abbey and john singer sargent. These artists were inspired by the beauty of the village and its surroundings – in particular the cotswold stone buildings. The artistic influence remains today and broadway is home to a variety of top class cotswold galleries providing a broad range of works of art. Broadway is an excellent ‘base’ for exploring other parts of the cotswolds and surrounding area, such as stratford-on-avon, cheltenham spa and worcester.
