The stable is our cosiest cottage, designed for 2 people.

It has a large open-plan dining / living room with a wonderful log burning stove. An ingenious and very comfortable double bed folds from the wall. During the day it folds away very easily and lightly - you don’t even have to take the covers off! The kitchen is well appointed and during the summer months you’ll be able to eat outside in the private and enclosed garden that looks onto the hills beyond. if more than two people stay then there is a charge of £50 per week per extra person. Dogs are welcome but there is an extra charge of £20 per week per dog for the additional cleaning required. Please note that these are the prices for 2012.
within a 10mi radius of eastside farm, you will find an abundance of things to see and do. Eastside cottages are situated just 6 mis from the edinburgh city by-pass half a mile beyond silverburn on the a702. To get to eastside cottages, you take the a702 or biggar road from the edinburgh city by-pass, the a720. You drive approx 5 and a half miles southwest until you reach the village of silverburn. You then drive straight on through the village and half a mile beyond the village, on the right hand side, you will see a bus shelter and, a few yards beyond it, a recessed field gate (where you can safely turn off the main road to open the gate). You proceed through this gate and 1mi up the track you will find the cottages. Travel by air: the nearest airport is edinburgh (fifteen miles from eastside). Glasgow is aproximately 50mis away.
