This historic woodland is host to a robin hood visitor’s centre providing wonderful woodland walks that include the renowned major oak tree. Clumber park, belonging to the national trust, is also close by and has over 3,000 acres of land for walking or cycling through as well as well-manicured gardens and a lake with over 200 different species of bird. The roman city of lincoln is only 17 mis away and boasts both an incredible cathedral and a castle whilst historic newark offers a fine georgian market square and a variety of shops, pubs and restaurants.

The price for a three night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted winter short break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Osbs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "last minute breaks" (lmb) are available at most properties throughout the "low", "mid", "high", "peak", "xmas" and "new year" periods. The price for a three night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted winter short break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Lmbs can be booked within 1 week of the start date of the holiday.
