Hardstone barn is a spacious barn conversion in a quiet country setting close to the town of launceston on the border between devon and cornwall. With an "upside down" design, this cottage has five beds (three doubles and 2 twins), three of which have ensuite facilities, which with the addition of a family bathroom make this cottage suitable for up to ten people. On the 1st floor is an open plan living space with a well-equipped fitted kitchen, a spacious dedicated dining area room and a large sitting room with a woodburning stove. Outside the cottage is off road parking for 5 cars, a patio with outdoor furniture, a bbq and use of the owner's field. Being so well situated in the heart of the devon countryside, hardstone barn is bound to give you a holiday to remember. Amenities: full oil fired central heating, additional heating from woodburner in sitting room. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, cloths washer and tumble dryer in utility room, dishwasher, colour television, dvd, video, radio, selection of books. Fuel, power and starter pack for woodburner inc. In rent. Bed linen and towels inc. In rent. Cot and highchair. Off road parking for five cars. Patio with furniture, bbq and use of owner's field. 1 well behaved dog welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Milton abbot village shop/café/takeaway and pub 2.5mis. Region: devon, with its quiet country lanes, patchwork of lush green fields and sleepy villages is not to be missed. Stately home lovers will be spoiled and why not finish with a scrumptious devonshire cream tea? Town: the town of launceston, situated on the devon and cornwall border, has wonderful architecture, including some fine georgian buildings in the central square and is dominated by the ruins of a norman castle sitting high above the town. Visit the tamar otter park just three miles away or take a trip on the steam train from launceston through the beautiful kensey valley on a 5mi round trip. Launceston is within driving distance of the seaside resorts of bude and padstow as well as the stunning bodmin moor and dartmoor. A superb base for exploring cornwall and devon.
