Its central location in the country makes it very suitable as a venue for cosy family gatherings, for birthdays, anniversaries, etc., for get togethers and reunions for friends and colleagues, and also for small hen and stag nights. The farmhouse has a current (2012) 3 star certificate from enjoy england (the tourist board), and is inspected annually. The farmhouse sleeps up to a max of fourteen guests in 5 beds. The accomodation also includes an atmospheric dining hall with a large table to seat 14, a spacious lounge, a kitchen/breakfast room with an aga and a gas rangemaster oven, 3 full size bathrooms, and a downstairs cloakroom with wc and wash basin. Outside there is a garden surrounding the property with tables and chairs and a large barbecue. There is ample private parking for a number of cars. In fifteen minutes meadowhall shopping centre can be reached by car, as can sheffield city centre with its galleries, museums, cinemas, etc, or in the other direction out to the peak district, which is ideal for country walks, and includes chatsworth house, haddon hall, and the lovely market town of bakewell. Within walkable distance of the farmhouse there is a leisure centre with swimming pool and a lovely park with cafe, being a rare breeds centre, and also including a small animal centre ideal for children to visit, with piglets, owls, goats, chickens, rabbits, etc.
