Semi-detached (adjoining another property), it is basically two reception, two beds, and 2 bathrooms, the kitchen and living room having been combined to form a mini great-room. Accommodation is provided for four to 6 people, master bedroom having a king size bed, second bedroom 2 singles. Sitting area offers a double sofa/bed, and living room a small settee/flop-out single bed. We recommend more than four guests for weekends only, due to cottage's limitations regarding size and bathroom facilities, though more have stayed for longer at their request with no problem. Fronting peaceful mill lane it has a substantial lawn and ornamental garden in the rear backing onto a canal, with a driveway on the free side providing parking for a small car. Located centrally in an area known as the east midlands it is the ideal jumping off point for touring the country. It is around a 2 hour drive to such places as central london, manchester, york, cambridge, and oxford to name but a few. Stratford upon avon is even closer. It is also around a 2 hour drive from london heathrow and manchester airports. Attractions, both nearby and further afield, can be found in our web sitewww.anenglishcottage.com. Shops are a seven to 10 minute walk away, buses and rail station even closer. Leicester is the closest city, an easy drive10 mi. South, with nottingham being 10mis north. The university town of loughborough is four miles away.
