This refurbished cottage can sleep 6 people and has three beds, a double, a double futon and a twin room in the eaves as well as a family shower room. The bed sitting area opens out onto a decked area with sea views where you can relax after a day on the beach. The cottage also has a fully fitted kitchen and can offer off road parking. The local shop and pub is just a few minutes' walk away, whilst other amenities can be found in nearby weymouth. Mallams is a delightful cottage in a fabulous location and is ideal for a family holiday. Amenities: full central gas heat, additional heating from gas fire in sitting area. Gas cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer, cloths washer, colour television with freesat, dvd, wifi. Fuel and power inc. In rent. Bed linen inc. In rent. Off road parking for 1 car. Decked 1st floor patio with furniture and sea views. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop five mins walk, pub two mins walk. Note: there are steep cottage stairs in this cottage. Note: 28th july - 11th august 2012 charged at £1523 per week (inclusive of £35 booking fee) due to olympic games. Town: the village of fortuneswell can be found on the 'isle of portland' peninsula, situated on dorset's spectacular jurassic coast, and is joined to the mainland via chesil beach which stretches 18 mis towards west bay. Formerly a quarry region, fortuneswell boasts a good variety of shops, pubs and restaurants, whilst the surrounding countryside is well known as a birdwatcher's paradise! With great walking and climbing opportunities, an array of watersport activities including the venue for the 2012 olympics, wonderful sandy beaches and the pretty harbour at weymouth just four miles away, this super holiday destination is not to be missed.
