With four beds, two on the 1st and 2 on the 2nd floor, including 2 with en-suite facilities, it sleeps 8 comfortably. There is also a family bathroom, a first level cloakroom, a kitchen and a sitting area with dedicated dining area room. Outside there is roadside parking and use of shared gardens with furniture. With york, the yorkshire dales and the seaside resorts of filey, scarborough and whitby, easily accessible, petergate house is a great base. Amenities: gas fired central heating with additional heating from electric fire in sitting area. Electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer / dryer, dishwasher, television, dvd, cd player/ipod dock, selection of books and games. All fuel and power inc. In rent. Region: the north york moors national park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers. Town: the city of york is a wonderful town, with a huge array of activities. Once known as jorvik, this vibrant town was a major viking centre of commerce and boasts a huge selection of architecture from a variety of historical periods. From the city walls to the charming shopping street known as the shambles, york has something for everybody. There are various cruises available down the river ouse and visitors can enjoy the national railway museum, the castle museum and betty’s tea rooms – home of yorkshire tea and an incredibly unique mirror from the 2nd world war on which service men visiting the café could write their names with a diamond-tipped ‘pen’. Further afield are the yorkshire dales and moors as well as the coastal resorts of scarborough, whitby and filey, making this an incredibly diverse destination.

Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off season breaks (osb) are available at many properties in parts of the "low" and "mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a three night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted winter short break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Osbs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "last minute breaks" (lmb) are available at most properties throughout the "low", "mid", "high", "peak", "xmas" and "new year" periods. The price for a three night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted winter short break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Lmbs can be booked within 1 week of the start date of the holiday.
