This property is 1 of four picturesque locations in this 19th century brick-built barn conversion. Situated in the centre of the pretty village of whitton and just five mi. From the medieval market town of ludlow, this lovely cottage boasts a wealth of exposed oak beams and roof trusses, and an unusual ‘upside down’ layout. Visitors can enjoy shared use of the large garden as well as the 2 patio areas - both of which come with furniture and a barbecue. Amenities: full oil central heating throughout. Electric cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer, cloths washer, dishwasher, colour television, dvd, cd player. All fuel & power inc. In rent. Bed linen & towels inc. In rent. Free, on-site carp, bream & rudd fishing. Cot, highchair & stairgate on request. Off road parking for four cars. Lockable bike storage at owners’ house (2 mins walk). Lawned garden with 2 patio areas, both with furniture & bbq. Two well-behaved dogs welcome. Sorry no smoking. Shop 3 mis, pub 1.5 mis. Note: on-site fishing pond is fenced but please ensure children are supervised at all times. Region: a e houseman once wrote that shropshire was “the quietest place under the sun” and today the county remains something of a rural idyll, recognised as 1 of the least crowded and most quiet regions in england. Town: set in the heart of the beautiful south shropshire countryside is the pretty little village of whitton. Boasting a 10th century church and well placed to discover the excellent walking and cycling routes through the scenic countryside, this lovely little settlement offers easy access to the clee, caradoc and long mynd hills. Church stretton - known as "little switzerland" amongst the locals – is close by and worth visiting for the stunning views it offers. The nearby medieval market town of ludlow makes a fascinating day trip with over 500 listed buildings and a wide array of tea-rooms and restaurants – 4 of which have been awarded michelin stars. The world heritage centre at ironbridge is close by, as are stokesay castle and the severn valley railway.
