It's owned by a couple with a young family - before the children she was a successful film actress, he's an artist, author, film producer, art dealer and collector. Their spacious, fully modernised, chelsea home and its furnishings and contents reflect their peripatetic life style and their wide artistic interests.
The accommodation is arranged over 4 floors and sleeps a max of ten people in four double bedrooms, a bedroom with two adult sized bunk beds, and a further single bedroom. There are 3 baths with loos and an additional downstairs guest loo.
Earl's court tube station (district, and piccadilly lines) is a ten minute walk and south kensington (same tube lines) is not much further.
The front door opens onto a narrow hallway off which lead the stairs and a massive open-plan living area 87 feet, 26.5m long. This incorporates the main living area, the conservatory, the kitchen and the breakfast bar. There is oak wooden flooring with under-floor heating throughout.
The main living area (42ft6 x 15ft6, 13m x 4.7m) is furnished with a four seater and a two seater sofa, five arm chairs and numerous other chairs, side table with lamps, book cases etc.. The whole living area is linked to a central hi-fi system.
And there's a home cinema system - press a button and a large screen descends - television with full sky package, dvd and video player.
The dining table also lives here, it has leaves that extend it to seat ten people.
The glass-roofed conservatory (11ft6 x 13ft6, 3.5m x 4.10m) acts as a link between the main living area and the kitchen - if desired the dining table can easily be moved to here. Displayed on the sideboard is an eclectic collection of weird and wonderful botanical specimens.
The combined kitchen area and breakfast bar (32ft10 x 12ft3, 10m x 3.7m) is at the front of the house. The new kitchen has all the expected appliances - but no microwave. There's also a walk-in fridge and walk-in pantry. The breakfast nook has a round table and seating for 5.
Downstairs you will find the guest loo (actually it's another full bathroom) and the utility room with washer dryer.
Up stairs on the 1st half-landing is a working area with a wi-fi high speed internet connection (bring your own laptop) and a door out to the attractive roof terrace with sun umbrella and outdoor furniture.
On the 1st floor is the 1st double bedroom (15ft7 x 15ft3, 4.75m x 4.65m) with 6 feet bed and two sets of french windows that give out towards the street. The en-suite bathroom has bath, separate power shower, two basins and a loo.
On the next half-landing is a small bedroom with a single bed.
The 2nd floor has another double bedroom (16ft9 x 13ft6, 5.10m x 4.15m) with six feet bed and a bedroom with two adult sized bunk beds. These share a bathroom - bath + hand shower, basin and loo.

The area abounds with good restaurants, nice pubs and places with character. Follow this with a meal at glaister's garden bistro just opposite or the ever-popular brinkley's restaurant.
Slightly further afield try langan's coq d'or, owned by michael caine or the troubadour, a wonderful old bohemian cafe/bar and a hangout of bob dylan and jimmy hendrix in the 60s - drop in and catch some live jazz or poetry reading!
