A major part of the village was built in victorian times, on the site where the river conwy meets its 3 tributaries in a beautiful and quiet valley. Of exceptional interest are the many bridges in the area, such as pont-y-pair and the miner’s bridge. Many of these date back to the 13th century and offer a picturesque insight into the region’s past. The village is well served by inns, pubs, craft and outdoor activity shops. For more amenities, such as restaurants, holyhead is only a easy drive away.
