Region: somerset offers three areas of outstanding natural beauty - the quantock, mendip and blackdown hills. Lose yourself in the glory of nature, take a ride on a steam train, visit a traditional farmers’ market or explore your mystical side at glastonbury. Town: the seaside resort of minehead is a inviting west somerset town with a mile long esplanade, a golden beach and a pretty harbour. There is a steam train from the seafront on the west somerset railway whilst exmoor national park, is well worth a visit.
