The bakehouse is converted from a woollen mill which was then the village bakery in a walled court yard in the scottish borders village of greenlaw. The cottage has 2 twin bedrooms and 1 double, which with the addition of 2 family bathrooms make it suitable for 6 people. The cottage also contains a kitchen with a breakfast nook and a sitting area with a dining table. To the outside of the cottage is off road parking for 3 cars and an enclosed, terraced side patio garden with a bbq & gated access to the river. Set in beautiful countryside, the bakehouse is a lovely cottage for a family holiday. Amenities: full oil fired central heating, electric hot water heating. Electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, cloths washer, dishwasher, colour television, dvd, cd/radio. Bed linen & towels inc. In rent. Fuel & power inc. In rent. Off road parking for three cars with large carport. Enclosed terraced side patio garden with bbq & gated access to river. Sorry, no smoking & no pets. Shops & pubs three mins walk. Region: from the lush green farmlands of the borders to the ruggedness of the highlands, the scots are proud of their land and identity. Scotland also has some of britain’s best beaches with glorious stretches of clean sand over which to roam. Town: the village of greenlaw sits twelve miles over the border into scotland, and is in an ideal location for enjoying the attractions of this part of scotland, and over into england, where the whole of northumbria can be easily explored. Greenlaw has amenities including shops and pubs, and is a 40 minute drive from edinburgh, the historic scottish city famed for its cultural festival, military tattoo and vibrant pace of life. For more quiet pursuits, why not explore the countryside walks and cycle routes, enjoy a spot of fishing, visit castles and abbeys, or even head to the coast?

Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off season breaks (osb) are available at many properties in parts of the "low" and "mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a three night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted winter short break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Osbs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "last minute breaks" (lmb) are available at most properties throughout the "low", "mid", "high", "peak", "xmas" and "new year" periods.
