This semi-detached, barn conversion for two people is set on a working farm at the foot of the long mynd hills near to the village of wentnor in shropshire and is ideal to explore the nearby towns of shrewsbury, bridgnorth and ironbridge.

The byre has been tastefully converted to offer accommodation for two people; a classic, romantic retreat. Exposed beams and a four-poster bed help it retain much of its original charm and there is also a small garden from which you can enjoy the stunning scenery or indulge in a spot of al fresco dining. There is parking for up to two cars, although the best way to get the most from this area is on foot. Amenities: full lpg central heating throughout. Electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge, colour television, video etc. Fuel and power inc. In rent. Bed linen and towels inc. In rent. Off road parking for two cars. Lawned garden to rear with patio, garden furniture and bbq. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop two miles, pub with restaurant one miles note: there is a private water supply. Region: a e houseman once wrote that shropshire was “the quietest place under the sun” and today the county remains something of a rural idyll, recognised as 1 of the least crowded and most quiet regions in england. Town: the village of wentnor lies on a ridge to the west of the long mynd, with good views in all directions. It is an attractive village, situated on a location that can be traced back to saxon times. The church of st. Michael and all angels is at 1 end of the ridge, and there are wonderful views to be had from there, looking towards the west from the churchyard. Carved into an outside wall of the church is an inverted 'face'. Inside is a tombstone known as the ‘hurricane tombstone’; this is in memory of a family who lost their lives in the nearby hamlet of asterton during a hurricane in 1772. Wetnor is also situated close to many other historic shropshire attractions. The shropshire hills are littered with roman and iron age settlements, perfect destinations for those who want to mix a bit of history with a scenic walk. Church stretton is only a few miles away and offers a beautiful example of a state of the art medieval village. With outdoor pursuits, such as fishing and mountain-biking, in abundance, wentnor is a haven for those looking to get away from it all.
