The cinder warren is an appealing and inviting cottage, set in a small development with communal gardens leading down to the river esk, a mile from whitby. The three beds are flexible and comfortable, with a double with balcony, a twin room and a room with children's bunks. There is a family bathroom, and a first level basin and wc. The kitchen is well equipped and includes a dining room and doors to the patio, while the sitting area also offers doors to the outside space. Relax on the patio or sit on the communal lawn by the river. There is off road parking for 1 car, with additional guest parking available. With whitby and the rest of the coast on the doorstep, and the moors an short drive, the cinder warren makes a great family base. Amenities: full central gas heat. Electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, cloths washer and drier, dishwasher, colour television with freeview, dvd, radio/cd, ipod dock. All fuel and power inc. In rent. Bed linen inc. Region: the north york moors national park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers. Town: situated at the mouth of the river esk, the ancient fishing port of whitby is ideally situated for exploring this beautiful part of yorkshire. With its superb coastline and the spectacular north york moors, this area is favoured amongst walkers and birdwatchers for the varied scenery and wildlife. Whitby itself is a magical town full of winding streets and hidden alleys set around a picturesque harbour. Nearby are a variety of safe, sandy beaches whilst the local st. Hilda’s abbey. St. Mary’s church on the local cliff-side has been credited as bram stoker’s inspiration for his renowned gothic horror novel, ‘dracula’, and can be visited via its famous 199 steps. Whether you’re visiting for a seaside holiday, a trip to the historic abbey or are just looking for a fun-packed vacation, whitby has something to offer.
