The loft is a inviting 1st floor apartment, part of a stone barn conversion, in the countryside of cowdale near buxton. There is a double room and a twin room, plus a shower room with shower, basin and wc. The living space is cosy, with a fitted kitchen with breakfast nook, and a sitting room with woodburner-effect electric fire. Outside there is off road parking, and shared use of an outdoor sitting room. With walks from the door and the attractions of the peaks on the doorstep, the loft is ideal for a romantic break, walking holiday or family getaway. Amenities: heating from skirting heaters throughout and electric woodburner-effect fire in sitting room. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, colour television with freeview, dvd, small library of books, games and dvds. Shared use of washer / dryer area with washer / dryer. Fuel and power inc. In rent. Bed linen and towels inc. In rent. Cot and highchair on request. Shared outdoor sitting room with furniture. Ample off road parking. 1 well behaved dog welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pubs 2.5mis. Note: dogs must be kept on a lead at all times. Note: this buxton self catering apartment is accessed via eleven external stone steps. Region: the ultimate in year-round appeal, the peak district offers countryside, picturesque villages and magnificent scenery. It touches upon 6 counties and encloses 555 square miles of open moorland, flowing rivers, and wooded dales. Town: originally a roman spa town, due to the constant 28°c of buxton's 8 thermal springs the town reached its peak in the 18th and 19th centuries under the patronage of successive dukes of devonshire. The palladian grandeur of today's town was designed and built by this family, including the magnificent semi-circular crescent, the great stable, hall bank, the square, the pavilion gardens and the opera house. Visitors continue to enjoy these buildings and gardens, as well as a full programme of events at the opera house, in addition to the annual festival of music and arts. Close by, walkers and cyclists can enjoy numerous trails and paths, which lead into the stunning scenery around the town.
