Easy access to loch lomond the trossachs argyll & bute. All this and a fantastic location for shopping trips to glasgow ikea braehead & silverburn shopping centres. Our dining is award-winning and amongst the finest anywhere in renfrewshire and the south side of glasgow whether you choose dinner in our charming restaurant or delightful pub food in our convivial friendly bar and lounge. Our fourteen en suite guest bedrooms deliver contemporary comforts for todays leisure and business travellers. The original building dates back to 1750 when it was a 1 room coaching inn where travellers broke their journey along the main road from glasgow to the coast... Over the years while taking care to maintain its original character the hotel itself has been greatly expanded and upgraded. The most extensive renovation was done in 1958 when architect james gray added the exterior touches of art nouveau derived from charles rennie macintosh. Since 1992 stuart & emma have been continually improving every area of the hotel including the addition of a summer garden patio.
each of our fourteen bedrooms are tastefully decorated and equipped to guarantee you total comfort. En-suite facilities wireless broadband direct dial telephone satellite tv tea tray & spring water. Superior rooms also have cd player and some have choice of bath with over bath shower. Family room also has video disc player.
within the hotel we offer award winning meals in both our cosy lounge bar and fine dining restaurant. Mix with the friendly locals in the bar for a drink or game of pool. Retire to the fireside of the elegant cocktail bar for 1 of our malt whiskys liqueuers classic or contemporary cocktails. With ample free parking the hotel backs onto the village green which has tennis courts and children's playpark. Throughout the year we host gourmet evenings and seasonal live entertainment.

From the village you can walk cycle or golf in beautiful scenery. Less than half an hour drive from glasgow international airport shopping centres rennie mackintosh trail and glasgow city centre. Just over half an hour south is prestwick airport and the heart of ayrshire with world famous golf courses and the start of the burns trail.
