The cottage sleeps 5 people and has 1 four poster double bedroom, 1 twin room, 1 single and a family bathroom. Also in the cottage are a fitted kitchen and a sitting area with an open fire. Outside the cottage is off road parking for 2 cars and a patio with outdoor furniture and a barbecue. Set in glorious yorkshire dales countryside, virginia cottage is a wonderful family holiday cottage to explore the attractions in the area. Amenities: electric storage heaters throughout with additional heating from open fire in sitting area. Note: there are 4 steps leading down to the cottage door from the parking area, the patio area is open and vehicles occasionally require access. Town: the lovely town of skipton is often referred to as "the gateway to the dales". Close by is the cathedral city of york, the lake district and the west coast, making this an incredibly central location. Skipton itself is an old market town and still continues the tradition to this day. It also boasts an ancient castle open to the public and a beautiful old parish church. With regular steam train excursions running at the weekend, visitors can enjoy a trip on the embsay steam railway – just 1mi away - or experience a canal trip on a traditional barge. There are also facilities for golf, swimming, squash, tennis and snooker.

all prices are inclusive of the booking fee. Winter short breaks (wsb) are available at many properties in the "winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off season breaks (osb) are available at many properties in parts of the "low" and "mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a three night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted winter short break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Osbs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "last minute breaks" (lmb) are available at most properties throughout the "low", "mid", "high", "peak", "xmas" and "new year" periods. The price for a three night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted winter short break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Lmbs can be booked within 1 week of the start date of the holiday.
