Outside, there is off road parking for 2 cars and a sunny rear patio with furniture. With the amenities of pickering a easy walk, and spectacular countryside, pretty villages and plentiful walking and cycling within easy reach, wheelwrights cottage makes a lovely base for couples or families with older children. Please note, children ten and under and not accepted at wheelwrights cottage. Amenities: full central gas heat, additional heating from open fire in sitting area. Region: the north york moors national park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers. Town: the beautiful market town of pickering is located on the north yorkshire moors national park border. According to town legend, it was founded by peredurus, a king who ruled during 270 bc. Pickering is filled with flowing streams and limestone hills, creating a spectacular and dramatic backdrop. For evenings out, the town has plenty of theatres, leisure centres and live music; an annual jazz festival is held during the month of july. Another wonderful conservational must-see is the north yorkshire moors national park itself, consisting of miles of stunning and unspoilt countryside. Tourists will love a taste of royalty by visiting pickering castle.

The price for a three night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted winter short break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Osbs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "last minute breaks" (lmb) are available at most properties throughout the "low", "mid", "high", "peak", "xmas" and "new year" periods. The price for a three night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted winter short break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Lmbs can be booked within 1 week of the start date of the holiday.
